17th-21th November 2014: PugliaSmartLab meets Mauro Moruzzi

Mauro Moruzzi was born in Bologna, April 21, 1948. He graduated in Sociology, is Managing Director of CUP 2000, company e-Health and e-Care of the Emilia-Romagna region.

Adjunct Professor at the University of Bologna, Faculty of Political Science, Master of Science in “Sociology of Health and Lifestyles”, is the owner and teaching-Care and Health. Adjunct Professor at the University of Urbino, Bachelor’s degree in “Communication Sciences”, is the holder of teaching Sociology of the organization. And ‘co-director of the University Master Level “e-Health and Quality of Health and Social Services”, University of Bologna; holder Training Module Management of healthcare organizations and new economye Perspectives and applications of e-Health, as part of the Master’s Degree in “Innovative Management of Health Care Organizations (Mios)” University of Urbino. He teaches courses in Higher Education in the University of Bologna, Ferrara and Urbino.

He has held the position of Minister of Health of the City of Bologna and administrator Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institute. It ‘was the creator of the unified booking center (CUP), for electronic access to health services in the metropolitan area. Together with Achille Ardigo launched, in Bologna, and the first system-Care for assistance home care to the elderly frail. He has directed major e-Health projects: the network SUN for Electronic Health Record in Emilia-Romagna; the National Observatory for the evaluation and monitoring of the networks and the Ministry of Health-Care. Currently working on the implementation of the Electronic Health Record of the citizen.
